Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce the introduction of the latest addition to its already formidable COOLPIX digital compact camera lineupthe COOLPIX 880 Superhigh-Performance 2.5x Zoom Digital Camera.
Users that are just entering the world of digital photography, as well as pros who demand top quality and a high degree of operability, will be satisfied with the COOLPIX 880's blend of easy-to-use functions and pro-style features.
"Better Total Picture Quality", "Higher Speed" and "Increased Ease of Use" have been the basic concepts of the COOLPIX lineup since its inception, and they are all manifested in the COOLPIX 880starting with a 3.34-megapixel CCD for unbelievably beautiful pictures.
Other features of the COOLPIX 880 that ensure superior picture quality are a newly designed 2.5x Zoom-Nikkor lens, 4x digital zoom capability and advanced total digital image control.
The COOLPIX 880 further features 11 Scene Program modes which automatically make the necessary focus, exposure, white balance and other adjustments for the user depending on the situation and the mode selected. Users will enjoy new freedom in digital photography.
The new COOLPIX also boasts the Quick Review feature. Once the user releases the shutter, he/she can then review the captured image (1/4 of the LCD) by pressing the QUICK button, while at the same time framing the next image to be captured. During review, the user can release the shutter. The user can even view the image at full frame and delete it if he/she chooses, or view previously captured images frame-by-frame.
Users new to digital photography can ease their way in, while more demanding, experienced photographers will immediately benefit from the high quality, versatility, compatibility and high operability of the COOLPIX 880. Users are also offered a choice of two colours"metallic silver" or "charcoal black" (like the COOLPIX 990).
If you're looking for an easy-to-use compact digital camera that's also packed with advanced, valuable features that will truly bring out your creative instincts, look no further than Nikon's COOLPIX 880.
