Q.No.4392: How many pictures can I take with various CF card?
Ans : The following chart shows the capacity of each Nikon CompactFlash TM Card, and the image-quality modes available.
The numbers given are those that appear on the camera's frame indicator.
Use the figures provided in the chart to calculate the values for cards of different capacities.

Data compression ratios for Fine, Normal and Basic modes are approx. 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16, respectively.
When shooting in continuous shooting mode, it takes approximately 7 continuous frames at the size of 3M (2,016 x 1,512) and NORMAL mode.
In case of multiple continuous shooting, it takes 16 continuous frames, placing 4 x 4 frames in a frame of 2,048 x 1,536-sized image.
