| Q.No.4228: | - "REM 0" is displayed in the camera's top control panel and the shutter won't release.
The problem continues even when a different memory card is inserted.

| Ans : | Under any of the following circumstances, a new directory cannot be created on the memory card and the shutter will not be released.
- The memory card contains a folder numbered 999 and an image file numbered 9999. - The memory card contains 999 folders with 999 image files. If the conditions described above apply, perform the following operation to format the memory card so that the shutter can be released. Be aware, however, that all images currently recorded to the memory card will be permanently deleted. Be sure to save any images you want to keep to a computer before performing this operation. - Insert the memory card in the camera and open Custom Setting 29 "File Number Sequence". - After formatting the memory card, select ON again for File Number Sequence. If you are experiencing this problem with multiple cameras or memory cards, we recommend that you perform the operation described above for all cameras and/or memory cards. |
