It is sometimes difficult to achieve proper focus when shooting with a wideangle or
ultra-wideangle lens.
Additionally, proper focus is difficult to achieve and maintain when shooting in the situations listed below.
| - |
Shooting subjects lacking clear definition between dark and light portions such as a white
wall or similar object or a person wearing clothes similar in color to the background |
| - |
Shooting subjects which fill the focus area with objects at different distances from the
camera such as an animal in a cage or a person standing in front of a tree |
| - |
Shooting subjects containing regular geometric patterns such as rows of windows in a skyscraper |
| - |
Shooting subjects which fill the focus area with objects under extremely varied lighting
such as a person standing in the shade with the sun in the background |
Under any of the circumstances described above, use manual focus (M mode) or focus lock to achieve proper focus.
