| Q.No.4122: | With the D100 connected to a Macintosh computer running Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X, I can transfer images, but I cannot use the Camera Control function. Similarly, I can use the Camera Control function, but I cannot transfer images. |
| Ans : | Please verify the following: |
| 1. | To use Nikon Capture 3 Camera Control on a Macintosh computer, the D100 firmware must be version 2.00. If your camera's firmware is an earlier version, please upgrade to firmware version 2.00. |
| 2. | To use Nikon Capture 3 Camera Control on a Macintosh computer, Nikon Capture 3 version 3.5.0 or later is required. If you are using an earlier version of Nikon Capture 3, please upgrade to Nikon Capture 3 version 3.5.0 or later. |
| 3. | Verify your camera's USB setting from the SETUP menu.
When the D100 is used with Mac OS 9, Nikon Capture 3 Camera Control requests that you set the USB transfer protocol to "PTP". When transferring images using Nikon Transfer, however, you must set the USB transfer protocol to "Mass Storage". |
| * | Under Mac OS X, images may be transferred using either USB setting. |
