| Q.No.3518: | Can the date of recording be printed with images? |
| Ans : | Yes. Under the following conditions, the date can be imprinted on images.
Printing from a DPOF (Digital Print Order Format)-compatible printer: From the camera's Print set* menu, select Imprint Date to have the date imprinted on image(s) when printed from a DPOF-compatible printer. Images captured with the Imprint Date option selected in the camera's Print set menu can be printed with dates from the CompactFlash card by a professional photo developer offering digital print services, or from your own DPOF-compatible printer with a built-in card slot. Before having photos processed, please make sure that the photo developer's DPOF digital print service supports date imprint, and verify support of this function with your personal DPOF-compatible printer from the printer's reference manual. For images transferred to a computer, photos can be printed with the date imprinted using the Imprint capture date over image function in Nikon View. |
| * | For instructions on applying the Imprint Date option, refer to the section on print sets in your camera's reference manual.
Printing from Nikon View 5: The date of capture can be printed with image(s) from Select layout pull-down menu in the Nikon Browser's Print layout window. However, be aware that all image information (file name, camera name, exposure compensation, image size, shutter speed/aperture, white balance) will be printed along with the date. Image information is printed below the photograph rather than imprinted over the photograph. (Imprinting the date over the image is not possible.) Printing from Nikon View 6: The date and time of capture along with other image information can be printed below the photograph from the Meta data print setup window in the Nikon Browser Print layout window. To imprint only the date or date and time over the image (top), click the Meta Data... button in the Nikon Browser Print layout window. Next, select Date only or Date and time under Imprint capture date over image. |
