These are special modes that gauge shooting conditions according to the subject and scene,
offering automatic adjustments to the most appropriate camera settings.
To select your desired scene, set the Mode Dial to one of the scene marks and shoot.
The following 5 Scene Modes are available:
| Party/Indoor |
Takes an atmospheric indoor party photo that balances the exposure of both the main subject
and the background. (Take care to avoid camera shake.) |
| Back Light |
The Speedlight fires to brighten a backlit subject that would otherwise turn out dark if no flash was used. |
| Portrait |
Captures a soft portrait of the subject against an aesthetically pleasing,
out-of-focus background.
(The built-in Speedlight will fire automatically in this mode, depending on scene brightness.) |
| Night Portrait |
Captures a natural night scene exposure of a subject against an illuminated background.
(Take care to avoid camera shake.) |
| Beach/Snow |
When shooting with a background of snow or sea, your subject appears clear and bright. |
