| Q.No.1719: | What is noise reduction? |
| Ans : | When taking photographs with a long exposure time,
the characteristics of the CCD may cause a star-shaped interference pattern to appear in the image.
Noise reduction processing is carried out on photographs taken with an exposure time of longer that 1/15 sec in order to reduce the effect of interference. When noise reduction processing is carried out it will take longer than normal for the image to be written to the memory card. |
