To reverse the colors in a photograph of negative film, before taking the photograph adjust white
balance as described below. |

| 1. | Position a blank frame of negative film in the slide-copy adapter.
The frame should be from the same roll that contains the image you want to copy (for example, one of the "left-over" frames at the beginning or end of the roll). |

| 2. | Point the camera at the light source you will use when photographing the negative. | ||||||||||

Adjust white balance using the preset white balance option.

| 4. | If the menu is still displayed, press the MENU button until the menu has been cleared from the screen. | ||||||||||
| 5. | Position the frame you want to copy in the slide-copy adapter and take a photograph.
You can now edit the photograph in Photoshop to create a positive image. |

| 2. | From the "Fairu" (File) menu, select "Hiraku" (Open) and navigate to the folder containing the desired photos. | ||||||||||
| 3. | From the "Imeezi" (Image) menu, select "Sikityou hosei" > "Kaichou no hanten" (Adjust > Reverse). | ||||||||||
| 4. | From the "Imeezi" (Image) menu, select "Sikityou hosei" > "Zidou reberu hosei" (Adjust > Auto Levels). | ||||||||||
| 5. | From the "Imeezi" (Image) menu, select "Sikityou hosei" > "Barieesyon" (Adjust > Variations). | ||||||||||
| 6. | After choosing "Tyuukan iro" (Midtones) in the variation dialog and moving the scale slider
to a position two places to the right of center, select "Kuraku" (Darker) and click OK.
Depending on the image, the result may be too dark. Adjust the scale appropriately while comparing darker and lighter variations. |
