Is the battery exhausted? (Use a fully charged battery.) |
| ¥ | If you are using the AC adapter, is it properly connected? |
| ¥ | Is the camera on? |
| ¥ | Is the camera in sleep mode?
(Half-press the shutter-release button to wake the camera up.) |
| ¥ | Is the camera in "Pc" mode? |
| ¥ | Are the camera and computer correctly connected? |
| ¥ | Apart from the camera, are any other IEEE 1394 (FireWire) peripherals connected to the computer?
(Disconnect from the computer all IEEE 1394 devices other than the camera and use the camera by itself.) |
| ¥ | Are other IEEE 1394/Firewire peripherals connected to the computer in addition to the camera?
Disconnect any other IEEE 1394/Firewire devices and use the camera alone. |
| ¥ | Turn Mac OS Virtual Memory off. |
| ¥ | In the Extensions Manager, make a copy of the Mac OS x.x Base extensions set and add to this set only the following extensions and control panels: NkIP FW Expert, NkD1 FW Driver, NkIP FW Family. |
| ¥ | After deleting Nikon Capture Preferences and Nikon Registry Preferences from the Preferences folder, uninstall and re-install Nikon Capture. |
