| Q.No.527: | The lens makes noise continuously while the camera is on. | ||||||||
| Ans : |
By default, the autofocus mode (AF MODE) is set to continuous autofocus (C-AF).
In this mode, the camera adjusts focus continually while the monitor is on, rather than focusing only when the shutter-release button is pressed half way. The continual movement of the lens produces noise and vibration, but this does not indicate a malfunction. If you find the noise produced by the lens distracting, we recommend that you use single autofocus, in which the camera only focuses when the shutter-release button is pressed half way. To select single autofocus: COOLPIX 885
COOLPIX 950, COOLPIX 800
COOLPIX 990
COOLPIX 880
